The Pumpkins Galore Store

The judge's voice roared over the crowd, ''And the winner of the best pumpkin pie contest is. . .'' He opened the card. ''Penny Purple! Congratulations Penny. A truck will drop off your pumpkins in just five days.''

''Oh I am speechless,'' Penny cried. The people in the crowd clapped and cheered for her. She turned so they would not see her blush. The judge shook her hand.

She went to her tiny home right away to prepare. She cleared her tiny lawn to get ready for the pumpkins. ''I just wonder what I will do with all those pumpkins.'' The rest of the day she spent planning what to do.

A few days later, Penny was awoken when she heard strange sounds in her front yard. At first she didn't know what it was, but then she remembered today was Friday. The sounds she heard were pumpkins hitting the ground. She got up, dressed, and walked into her front yard to see piles and piles of orange pumpkins.

She took some of the pumpkins into her house and made some pumpkin pies, Then she carved a few of them pulling the insides out. She put the hairy insides of one pumpkin on her head. ''Pumpkin wigs,'' she thought. Then she put those aside and grabbed a couple more and cut them in half for pumpkin bowls. Next she made pumpkin coats, pumpkin candy bars, pumpkin smoothies, pumpkin knicknacks, pumpkin popcorn, and pumpkin masks. She carved out the top of a few and stuffed them with autumn leaves to make pumpkin centerpieces. She put all her pumpkin things in her living room, and put a sign in her yard Pumpkins Galore Store .
People from all over town flocked to her store. They loved all her pumpkin treasures. The town mayor sent a letter to the Times Newspaper and praised the store. People from all over the state came and bought lots of pumpkin treasures. Everyone wanted something from Pumpkin Galore Store.

When the pumpkin supply ran low, Penny began dreaming of getting more pumpkins and starting a Pumpkins Galore Museum.

Over here we don't have Halloween really. Some people have parties, but it isn't very big. We don't Trick or Treat. We might go trunk or treating, well, boot or treating as that is wht we call a trunk over here.
Keep up the good work though.
